Colorworks
It's color theory with a trunk show twist! Confused by the color wheel? Don't understand color schemes? In this one hour lecture I cover all of that and more, illustrating everything in fabric...how the color wheel is created, what defines the various color schemes and color terminology, and what those things look like at work, both in traditional quilt blocks and in my trunk show of art quilts.

Altered Surfaces
This one day workshop focuses on various techniques for changing the look of your fabric. We will cover rust dyeing, stamp making and stamping, discharge dyeing, and gelatin plate printing. Students will create one of a kind rust dyed fabrics, learn several ways to make original stamps, and both add to and take away from existing fabrics to create something new. These are all easy and fun! It's a great way to add something to your stash that is uniquely yours.

Silk Scarf Dyeing
Tons of fun and ALL SUPPLIES INCLUDED!
Each student will create 2 beautiful hand dyed silk scarves, learning methods for creating pattern and the process of this easy dyeing method.
Aprox 2 -2.5 hours, minimum 6 students

Soy Wax Resist
Learn how easy it is to use soy wax as a resist to create pattern on fabric. Soy wax melts at a lower temperature than traditional batiking wax and is far easier to remove. In this class we use both traditional batik tools and some unexpected ones as well to prepare the cloth for dyeing.

In this class you will learn tips and techniques for working with fusible web to create fabric portraits. We will cover pattern making from photographs for a more realistic image as well as free-form creating for a whimsical look.

In this class you will learn tips and techniques for working with fusible web to create fabric landscapes. We will cover pattern making from photographs for a more realistic image as well as free-form creating from your imagination.

Thinking Outside of the Box
Learn the tips and tricks of raw edge fusible web applique as you create a fun expanded square quilted wall hanging. Choose one of the patterns provided plus you will learn how to create your own designs.

Fabric Journal
Learn a simple way to create a beautiful quilted fabric journal cover. These make wonderful gifts for your favorite school teacher, friend...or yourself! We will cover fusing techniques, play with decorative stitching, and learn some basic beading techniques.

Awesome Angelina
It's shiny and beautiful, but what on earth do you do with Angelina fibers and film? This class will teach you how to fuse, emboss, stamp. needle felt, make buttons, and otherwise incorporate these scrumptious fibers into your projects.
